2014 Recipe File: Add Some Kick to Father's Day

Get the dads to stray away from their precious beer this Father's Day! Instead, provide them with options to add a little kick to their special day, and maximize your profits. Here is a list of manly cocktails that dads will go crazy for!

The Father and Son
Created by Russell’s Reserve

1 ½ oz. Russell’s Reserve 10 Year old
½ oz. Fresh squeezed lime juice
½ oz. fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
Cherry, for garnish

Pour Russell’s Reserve, grapefruit juice, lime and honey into shaker. Shake and strain. Serve over cubed ice in a Collins glass ice with garnish cherry.

1 oz. Campari
1 oz. High Proof Cognac
¼ tsp. Grade B Maple Syrup
2 Mint Sprigs

Muddle mint in cocktail shaker. Add other ingredients. Shake and strain over crushed ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with a mint sprig.

1 ½ oz. Hornitos Plata Tequila
½ oz. Honey Syrup
¼ oz. Mezcal
¾ oz. Sweet Vermouth
Orange Twist

Add ingredients to a mixing glass, stir and strain over fresh ice (large cubes preferred) and garnish with orange twist.

¾ oz. Irish Mist Liqueur
Orange Peel

Build ingredients over ice in an old fashioned glass. Garnish with an orange peel.

1 oz. Basil Hayden's Bourbon
1 oz. Cocci Americano
1 oz. Campari
¼  oz. Ginger Juice

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry.

1 oz. DRAMBUIE Scotch Liqueur
1  bottle of your favorite Ale

Pour DRAMBUIE into a pint glass and add your favorite Ale.

Top with Cherry Cola

Fill Glass with ice.  Add Smirnoff Root Beer Float and Cherry Cola. Garnish with a Cherry

2 oz. Brut Champagne or Dry Sparkling Wine
1½ oz. St-Germain
2 oz. Club Soda

Stir ingredients in a tall ice-filled Collins glass, mixing completely. Think of Paris circa 1947. Garnish with a lemon twist.
