With National Tequila Day upon us tomorrow, Thursday July 24th, owners should be thinking about appropriate ways to maximize their profits on this delicious day.

What better way to increase revenue and have a little fun than with tequila cocktails?  None.

Bitter Summer Zapatista

1 ½ oz. Cabo Wabo Reposado Tequila
¾ oz. Campari
¾ oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice
¼ oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
1 tbsp. Agave Nectar
Fresh Egg White
Pinch of Indonesian Pepper

Beginning with Agave Nectar and pepper, combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice into tall glass. Garnish with long grapefruit peel.

1 oz. X-Rated Fusion Liqueur
1 oz. Cabo Wabo Blanco
Juice of half a lime
3 sprigs fresh cilantro
3 thin slices of fresh cucumber
3 thin slices of a fresh jalapeño pepper
Cucumber wheel for garnish

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker (except cucumber wheel) filled with ice and shake vigorously. Pour into a chilled glass and garnish with cucumber wheel.

The Spicy Patriot

4-5 fresh cucumber slices
6-8 fresh raspberries
1 oz. Jalapeño-Infused Lime Juice  
3 dashes Orange Bitters
2 oz. Blue Nectar Silver
Red Bull float
Fresh cucumber and jalapeño slices to garnish

Muddle the cucumbers and raspberries in the bottom of an old fashioned glass.  Pour the jalapeño-infused lime juice, orange bitters, and Blue Nectar Silver into an iced cocktail shaker.  Shake well and strain over muddled cucumbers and raspberries. Float Red Bull over top, and garnish with fresh cucumber and jalapeño slices as desired.

Pineapple Serrano Margarita

2 oz. Herradura Silver
3 cubic inches of pineapple diced
¾ oz. lime juice
½ oz. simple syrup
3 slices of Serrano chili with seeds.

Crush pineapple and chili slices in the base of a shaker with a muddler. Add cubed ice and remaining ingredients; shake hard and strain over ice in an old fashioned glass. Garnish with a chili and a star Anise pod.

Watermelon Cocktail

2 oz. Avión Silver
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
4 One-Inch Cubes Fresh Watermelon
Squeeze Agave Nectar

Muddle watermelon with agave nectar in a mixing glass. Add remaining ingredients, and shake vigorously with ice. Fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and garnish as desired.

 

Watermelon Cocktail with Avion Silver


Cabo Burro
Campari America

1 oz. Cabo Reposado Tequila
1 oz. Ginger Beer
½ oz. freshly squeezed Lime Juice

Add all ingredients to an ice-filled highball glass. Stir and garnish with a Lime Wheel.

Cabo Burro with Cabo Resposado


Transatlantic Fizz

2 oz. Sandeman Founder's Reserve Porto
1 oz. Avión Blanco tequila
¾ oz. almond syrup
1 oz. G.H.MUMM Cordon Rouge
2 strawberries, chopped

Muddle the strawberries in the fresh lime and almond syrup. Add the tequila and Sandeman with ice and shake well. Strain over ice into highball glass (or other tall glass of choice). Top with champagne and stir briefly.

Transatlantic Fizz with Avion Blanco Tequila


Ay Chiwowa Mexi Mule

1 ½ oz. Lunazul blanco tequila
|Squeeze of fresh orange wedge to taste
Top with diet ginger beer (4-6 oz. depending on taste)

Combine the tequila, fresh orange juice and ginger beer over ice in a glass. Stir as desired.

Mexi Mule with Gran Centenario Plata

2 oz. Blood Orange Puree
1 oz. Gran Centenario Plata 
1 oz. Habanero Infused Gran Centenario Plata 
¾ oz. Simple Syrup
¾ oz. Lime Juice
5 Mint Leaves
Tajin Rim

Combine ingredients. Stir as desired.
