National Margarita Day is Thursday, February 22. The number-one cocktail in the on-premise is enjoyed year round, but you may want to mix up a special margarita menu to celebrate.
Here are some unique and tried-and-true margarita recipes that are sure to please your guests!

Sicilian Margarita
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Reposado Tequilla
1 oz. Italian Orange Liqueur (such as Gran Gala)
½ oz. Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice (about ½ a lemon)
¼ oz. Agave Nectar
Ice
Directions:
- Quick Shake – 6-8 times
- Pour into Glass
- Add ½ oz. Red Wine Float (such as Merlot, Zinfandel, or Malbec)

Flecha Spicy Margarita
Ingredients:
2 oz Flecha Azul Blanco Tequila
¾ oz fresh lime juice
¾ oz triple sec
3 jalapeno slices
Tajin rim
Directions:
- Muddle jalapeno slices in a cocktail shaker
- Add ice and all remaining ingredients
- Shake vigorously
- Strain into a rocks glass with ice

Mulberry Street Margarita
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Don Julio Reposado
.75 oz Lime
.5 oz Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao
.75 oz Prickly pear syrup
Directions:
- Add ingredients into tin shaker,
- Shake well
- Strain into rock glass
- Fill with ice and garnish

Margarita Kiwi
Ingredients:
1.5 oz of kiwi puree
1 oz of lemon juice
1 oz of simple syrup
2 oz of grapefruit soda
Directions:
- Smoke the glass with rosemary
- Add ice to the shaker
- Mix kiwi puree, lime juice, sugar, or natural syrup
- Shake and serve in the smoked glass, finishing with grapefruit soda
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a decorative flower

Matcha Margarita
Ingredients:
2 oz 1800 Cristalino
1 tsp of Matcha Powder
1 oz Honey Syrup
.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
Garnish: Garnish with Lime Wheel and light drizzle of Honey
Directions:
- In a mixing tin, combine 1800 Cristalino, matcha powder, lime juice, and honey syrup
- Add ice and shake vigorously
- Strain over fresh ice into rocks glass
- Garnish with a lime wheel lightly drizzled with honey

CAZADORES Avocado Margarita
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. Tequila CAZADORES Blanco (Made with 100% Blue Weber Agave)
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1 oz. Agave Syrup
1 Quarter of Avocado
1 Sprig of Cilantro
1 Slice of Roasted Jalapeño
Directions:
- Muddle avocado, cilantro and jalapeño in a mixing glass
- Add the rest of the ingredients with ice
- Shake and serve over the rocks

Carrot Ginger Margarita
Ingredients:
25 ounces of Triple Sec
.25 ounces of fresh Ginger Juice
.5 ounces of fresh orange juice
1 ounce of Agave Syrup
2.5 oz of Plata Tequila, Such as Patron Silver
2 ounces of Acid-Adjusted Fresh Pressed Carrot Juice:
- 20 ounces of freshly pressed carrot juice
- 4 grams of citric acid
Directions:
For the acid-adjusted carrot juice:
- Combine your juice and acid as best you can using either an immersion blender or whisk
For the cocktail:
- Combine all ingredients
- Pour into a salt-rimmed glass

Oaxaca, I Barely Knew her...
Ingredients:
1 oz Espolon Blanco Tequila
.5 oz Jalapeno Infused Espolon Blanco tequila
.5 oz Aperol
.5 oz Lime Juice
.5 oz Grapefruit Juice
Tajin (for rimming)
Dehydrated or Fresh Grapefruit
.75 oz Red Bell Pepper Simple Syrup
6 Red Bell Pepper
1000g Sugar
500g Water
.5 oz Jalapeno Infused Blanco Tequila
5 jalapenos
750ml Blanco Tequila
Directions:
For the red bell pepper simple syrup:
- Wash and julienne red bell peppers
- Steep in hot water for 30 minutes
- Slowly add sugar
- Stirring to combine until all sugar has dissolved- do not boil
- Strain out solids
For the Jalapeno Infused Blanco Tequila:
- Wash and destem jalapenos
- Slice into roughly ¼-inch rounds and combine with tequila
- Let sit for 24 hrs
- Strain through a coffee filter
- Must be refrigerated overnight
For the cocktail:
- Roughly rim glass with Tajin
- Add all ingredients to shaker tin and shake vigorously with draft ice to chill, aerate, and dilute
- Add fresh draft ice to the rimmed glass and strain the cocktail overtop
- Garnish with a dehydrated grapefruit half wheel

Winter Marg
Ingredients:
1.5 parts Cantera Negra Reposado Tequila
0.5 part Fresh lime juice
0.5 part Fresh blood orange juice
0.5 part Agave syrup
0.75 tsp Vanilla extract
Winter spice mix
Directions:
For the winter spice mix:
- Combine .5 tsp salt, .5 tsp sugar, .25 tsp cinnamon, and .25 tsp chili powder
For the cocktail:
- Rim a rocks glass with winter spice mix.
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously.
- Strain into prepped rocks glass over fresh ice.
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Blood Orange-Rosemary Margarita
Ingredients:
¾ oz. tequila
¾ oz. Grand Marnier
¾ oz. lime juice
Agave syrup, to taste
2 oz. blood orange-rosemary syrup:
¼ cup The Perfect Purée Blood Orange Concentrate, thawed
½ cup water
½ sugar
Pinch of salt
4 rosemary sprigs
Directions:
For the Blood Orange-Rosemary Syrup:
- Combine the blood orange concentrate and water in a small saucepan (2 to 1 ratio).
- Add ½ cup sugar, a small pinch of salt, the rosemary sprigs and bring to 180°F on the stove (no higher).
- Chill completely before using in the margarita.
For the recipe:
- Combine blood orange-rosemary syrup, lime juice, tequila and Grand Marnier with ice in a cocktail shaker
- Shake until chilled and strain into a salt+sugar rimmed ice-filled glass
- Garnish with a rosemary spring and an orange wheel

Lucky Marg
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Suerte Blanco
.5 oz Fresh Lime
.25 oz Agave Nectar (a squirt)
Directions:
- Prepare your glass as you wish with a salt or chili-salt rim and fill with ice
- Add Suerte to an ice-filled shaker and squeeze in limes and agave nectar
- Shake and pour into prepared glass, add lime garnish
