The Margarita has a storied past, growing in popularity throughout the 20th century and remaining one of the most crowd-pleasing bar drinks even today. And what better way to celebrate and bump up your sales than by honoring and promoting this versatile drink on National Margarita Day on Feb. 22. Get people in your bar and thinking about spring by offering some of these delicious and inventive Margaritas.
Oaxacan Margarita

1 ½ ounces Cazadores Blanco
1 ounce Perfect Purée Kiwi Puree, thawed
½ ounce Perfect Purée Passion Fruit Concentrate, thawed
¾ ounce simple syrup
¾ ounce fresh lime juice
Add all ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice, shake and strain into a tall glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel or kiwi slice. Serve.
The Waborita
Served at Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina in Las Vegas.
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce Cointreau
2 ounces Cabo Wabo Reposado Tequila
Splash of Grand Marnier
Salt the rim of a large Margarita glass. Combine ingredients in a shaker over ice and strain into the glass. Serve with a lime wheel.
Lavender Margarita

2 ½ ounces Don Julio Silver
1 ounce Parfait Amour
¼ ounce fresh lime juice
¼ ounce simple syrup
Served up or over Ice. Garnish with a lime
The Prickly Margarita

2 ounces Cabo Wabo Anejo
½ ounce agave nectar
1 ounce fresh lime juice
½ ounce prickly pear puree
1 medium jalapeño slice
¼ ounce amaretto
1 lime wheel (garnish)
Place all ingredients except amaretto in a shaker. Muddle jalapeño, add ice and shake vigorously. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass and float amaretto on top. Garnish with a lime wheel and serve.
Peachy-Lean Margarita

3 slices frozen peach
1 ½ ounces reposado tequila
½ ounce Monin Sugar Free Triple Sec Syrup
1 ounce Monin Sugar Free Peach Syrup
1 ounce fresh lime juice
2 ounces light lemonade ice
Add ingredients to blender, except ice. Fill serving glass with ice and pour into blender. Blend until smooth. Pour blended drink into a 16-ounce serving glass and garnish.
Sobieski Vanilla Amadillo

2 ounces Sobieski Vodka
½ ounce Marie Brizard Triple Sec
1 ½ ounces sweet and sour mix
½ ounce lime juice
Shake or blend with ice. Serve in a sugar-rimmed tall glass.
Distinguished Millionaire Margarita

1 ounce Distinguido Silver
½ lime
½ ounce Cointreau
splash sour mix
Shake and add lime wedge.
Pumpkin Spice Margarita

2 ounces Camarena Reposado Tequila
1 can pumpkin puree
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
2 cups water
½ ounce orange liqueur
Juice of ½ a lime
Make a pumpkin simple syrup by combining pumpkin puree with brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and water in a saucepan over low heat. Stir for 20 minutes. Remove from heat, cool and strain. Combine the juice of half a lime, Camarena Reposado Tequila, and two ounces pumpkin simple syrup. Shake well and serve on the rocks.
The Slender Sauzarita

10 ounces Sauza Silver Tequila
3 ounces fresh orange juice
3 ounces fresh lime juice
3 ounces fresh lemon juice
6 ounces agave nectar
Combine ingredients in a pitcher with ice. Mix well. Pour into chilled Martini glass and garnish with a lime wheel.
