National Chai Day is September 21, and it celebrates the beverage that consists of black tea brewed with water, milk, spices and a sweetener. The spices added to the tea can include cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, cloves, and nutmeg. The result is a spicy, sweet, milky drink.
While chai tea is delicious on its own, it can also be added to cocktails or mocktails for a flavorful twist. We've compiled a collection of chai recipes for you to add to your menus this fall.
Non-Alc Recipes

Chai Dalgona
Ingredients:
1/2 oz. Monin Chai Tea Concentrate
3 oz. milk
Top with:
2 tbsp. ground, dark roast coffee
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. cold water
Directions:
- Fill serving glass full of ice.
- Pour ingredients into serving glass in order listed.
- Stir gently to mix.
- Add garnish and serve.

Pumpkin Dirty Chai Latte
Ingredients:
1/2 oz. Monin Pumpkin Spice Syrup
1/2 oz. Monin Chai Tea Concentrate
2 shot(s) espresso
Fill with steamed milk
- Combine ingredients, except milk, in serving cup.
- Stir and set aside.
- Steam milk in pitcher.
- Pour steamed milk into serving cup, stirring gently.
- Garnish.
Cocktail Recipes

Mezcal Chai Latte
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Chai-infused El Viejo
.25 oz simple syrup (1:1 ratio)
3 oz barista oat milk
Directions:
- Infused 1 bottle of El Viejo with 3 chai tea bags for 30 minutes at room temperature. Strain and store.
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
- Shake to emulsify.
- Serve in a rocks glass or mug.
- Garnish with ground cinnamon or star anise.

Wise Chai New Fashioned
Ingredients:
2 cups of THE WISEMAN™ Bourbon
0.5 cups of chai syrup
2 dashes of aromatic bitters
Orange peel
Star anise
Cinnamon stick
Directions:
For the chai syrup, brew 3 bags of chai tea, combine with equal parts sugar and heat until dissolved. Once syrup is chilled, Stir in a mixing glass with ice and strain into an Old Fashioned glass over ice block, sphere or cubes. Garnish with orange peel, star anise, and smoking cinnamon stick.

Chai Tea Martini
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. Voli Mango Coconut Vodka
1 oz. Sho Chiku Bai Nigori Cremè de Sake
½ oz. The Perfect Purée Passion Colada blend, thawed
1 oz. Vanilla Spiced Chai Concentrate
Cinnamon sugar rim
Directions:
- Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice.
- Shake hard and strain into a martini glass or on the rocks.
- Garnish with a cinnamon sugar rim.
- Place a mint leaf and cinnamon stick in a glass.

Franken-Chai
Ingredients:
1 ¾ oz. Charbay Doubled & Twisted Whiskey
¾ oz. The Perfect Purée Chipotle Sour Blend, thawed
½ oz. oat milk
¼ whole star anise
¼ oz. vanilla syrup
1 whole cardamom
1 whole clove
Directions:
Lightly muddle star anise, cardamom, and clove. Combine other ingredients and shake with ice until cold and frothy. Double strain into a rocks filled glass.

Blood Orange & Chai
Ingredients:
1 oz. Tequila Cazadores Anejo
1 oz. The Perfect Purée Blood Orange Concentrate, thawed
1 tea bag of chai
1 oz. agave nectar
4 oz. hot water
3 whole cloves
whipped cream, garnish
fresh grated nutmeg, garnish
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a coffee mug. Stir and garnish with whipped cream and nutmeg.
