The piña colada is a rum based cocktail that customers order for a sense of refreshment. For the convenience of bar owners and bartenders alike, National Piña Colada Day falls perfectly in the midst of summer but don’t think that customers don’t want to enjoy this relaxing cocktail only on a beach. A piña colada is perfect anywhere, especially today.
"Piña colada" actually means "strained pineapple" in Spanish, which is very appropriate being that traditional ingredients for this cocktail are pineapple juice, rum and coconut cream poured over ice.
Don’t get caught in the rain on National Piña Colada Day! Break out the rum and the mini umbrellas to give your guests the sweet taste of summer!
