Depending on where you are in the country, you'll have the chance to see a full solar eclipse on the afternoon of Monday, April 8. If your bar is lucky enough to be in the path of totality, expect an influx of guests before and after the big event as tourists flood into the area to watch the rare astronomical event. Take advantage of the hype, and add a few solar-inspired cocktail recipes to your menus.

Kraken Mai Tai
Ingredients:
2 parts Kraken® Black Spiced Rum
1/2 parts Orange Curaçao
3/4 parts Lime Juice
1/4 parts Orgeat
1/4 parts Ginger Syrup
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients (except rum) in a shaker, add ice and shake.
- Dump into a large rocks glass, and top with crushed ice.
- Finish the drink by topping with rum.
- Garnish with mint sprigs and freshly grated nutmeg.

The Lunar Shadow
Ingredients:
Casamigos Tequila
Orange Juice
Pomegranate Juice
Directions:
- Shake tequila and orange juice.
- Top with pomegranate juice.
- Garnish with a blackberry.

Dark Moon Delight
Ingredients:
Stryker Texas BBQ Smoked Single Malt Whiskey
Orange liquor
Blackberry puree
Lemon juice
Top with peach cider
Directions:
- Combine first four ingredients.
- Top with peach cider.
- Garnish with a lemon.

Eclipse Blackberry Bourbon Sour
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Critical Batch Texas Bourbon
3 oz Sour mix
5 blackberries
Cherry bitters
Directions:
- Muddle 5 blackberries in a shaker and fill halfway with ice.
- Add 1.5 ounces Critical Batch Texas Bourbon
- Add 3 ounces sour mix (equal parts lemon juice and simple syrup, with a smidgen of maple syrup)
- Shake and pour into a cocktail glass
- Top with three drops cherry bitters
