Takeout and delivery orders helped many establishments survive during the height of the COVID pandemic and the ensuing shutdown orders, but the off-premise channels have since seen declines in share of the bottom line.
In fact, our poll results found that the majority of respondents (26%) don't even offer takeout/delivery.
Despite the rise of technology and third-party apps that make the world of delivery/takeout easier, our poll found that the majority of respondents who do offer delivery/takeout see the greatest share of their orders from walk-ins (21%). After that, phone orders and third-party apps are tied for usage (19%).
