Sippable Cinco de Mayo Margaritas

We all know Cinco de Mayo is about tacos, silly sombreros and margaritas but there is obviously more behind this celebratory day. Cinco de Mayo, May 5th, commemorates the Mexican army’s defeat of France at the Battle of Puebla during the French-Mexican War in 1862. It is a bit ironic, while Cinco de Mayo is a fairly minor holiday in Mexico, it is comparable to a Mexican St. Patrick’s Day here in the United States so it is in your best interest to capitalize on this festive holiday.

Restaurants such as Margaritas Mexican Restaurant and El Chico Café are running contests for one lucky guest to win free dinner for a year which is an excellent strategy to get people through the door. However, if your venue has no Mexican connotation, fear not, there are plenty of promotional tactics you can carry out this Cinco de Mayo.

The margarita is the most popular cocktail in America and Cinco de Mayo is the perfect day to shake up some tequila and salt. There are countless combinations of margaritas so we have provided you with some of our favorites to try out at your bar this Cinco de Mayo.
