Consumers are getting adventurous in their tastes as they look for new and interesting flavor combinations such as international flavors and ingredients, sweet and spicy options, and more. Why not add some interest to your menus with sour cocktail recipes?
We've rounded up a collection of sour recipes that goes beyond the whiskey sour to include cocktails with out-of-the-ordinary ingredients, a variety of spirits, some spring flavors, and even a nonalcoholic option!

Azalea Mocktail
Ingredients:
2 oz Cranberry Juice
3/4 oz Monin® Hibiscus Syrup
1 oz Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
Garnish: Orange slice, mint leaf, cherry
Directions:
- Fill serving glass full of ice.
- Pour ingredients into mixing glass with 2/3 ice in order listed.
- Cap, shake and strain into serving glass with ice.
- Add orange slice, mint leaf, and cherry garnish and serve.

Empress Elderflower Sour
Ingredients:
2 oz Empress 1908 Elderflower Rose Gin
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz Simple Syrup
1 oz Egg White (or Aqua Faba)
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
- Shake and strain to remove ice.
- Shake again without the ice.
- Fine strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- Garnish with rose petals.

Ultra Apricot Sour
Ingredients:
2 oz. Tequila Herradura Ultra
½ oz. Apricot Liqueur
¾ oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz. Monin Ginger Syrup
½ oz. White Peach Puree
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
1 egg white
Directions:
- Shake all ingredients together to mix.
- Shake again with ice to chill.
- Strain into coupe glass
- Garnish with edible petals.

Bourbon Raspberry Sour
Ingredients:
1.5oz. Woodford Double Oaked
0.5 Oz. Chambord
.75 Oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
3 Dashes Woodford Reserve Chocolate Bitters
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker, add ice, shake.
- Double strain into a coupe or martini glass.
- Garnish with three skewered raspberries.

Ube Sour
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. whiskey
3/4 oz. Monin Ube Syrup
2 oz. fresh sour mix
Garnish: cherry, lemon
Directions:
- Fill serving glass full of ice.
- Pour ingredients into mixing glass with 2/3 ice in order listed.
- Cap, shake and strain into serving glass with ice.
- Add garnish and serve.

Ginny’s Sour
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. gin
2 oz. The Perfect Purée Thai Basil & Black Pepper blend, thawed
1 oz. Elderflower liqueur
Lime
Directions:
- Combine ingredients into a mixing glass.
- Add ice and shake vigorously.
- Serve up in a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with a lime squeeze.
