Graffiti Park Talks How Custom Artwork Adds to the Guest Experience

Graffiti Park—a mural curation company dedicated to transforming spaces with bold, custom artwork—is returning to the Bar & Restaurant Expo

More than just a mural company, Graffiti Park is about storytelling—helping brands and venues craft unique, Instagram-worthy aesthetics that enhance customer experiences. The company is a full creative agency that can handle a business' branding needs as well as oversee the design process of a project like a vinyl installation or rebrand. Whether it’s a restaurant looking to revamp its ambiance, a bar wanting a statement piece, or a business seeking creative brand marketing, Graffiti Park connects clients with talented artists to make it happen. While headquartered in Las Vegas, Graffiti Park is able to serve clients nationally thanks to its network of artists and installers.

We caught up with Graffiti Park to find out what they're planning to showcase at Bar & Restaurant Expo as well as to discuss the benefits of having a custom mural in a bar or restaurant.

Live Art in Action at Bar & Restaurant Expo!

Graffiti Park will host a live painting activation in booth #4855 on the second floor of the expo hall. Artists will be creating stunning murals on canvas right on the show floor, and attendees can not only watch the artistic process unfold in real-time, but also interact with the artwork themselves.

"We’re inviting attendees to engage with our interactive panels by marking where they’ve had tea and where they’re from," says Daniel Maloney, Co-Founder of Graffiti Park. "Talk to our artists about how murals can enhance your space, create an unforgettable atmosphere, and increase brand recognition. Whether you want a one-of-a-kind piece for your venue or your logo strategically placed for maximum impact, we can help bring your vision to life."

Access to Graffiti Park’s live painting and interactive panels is included in all registration passes!

Benefits of Custom Artwork in a Bar or Restaurant

Murals can enhance uniqueness, provide photo opportunities, and boost employee satisfaction in a bar or restaurant.

Uniqueness

Consumers are looking for a unique experience when they dine out, and custom artwork can help create and enhance that experience. "Having a tailored mural, whether it's a painted mural or a vinyl wrap that we've custom designed based off of your space, your clientele, or the culture you're trying to invite into that experience, lends uniqueness to your space," notes Maloney, who says Graffiti Park was started after he and his co-founder Daniel Bulgatz started noticing the artwork in a restaurant really contributed to the overall experience.

Photo Ops

Murals not only help to create an immersive experience, but in the age of social media, they can serve as places for photo opportunities as well. Guests will often take pictures of the artwork and share them to social media, which results in free marketing for that establishment.

Employee Satisfaction

In addition to benefit guests, murals can also raise the spirits of staff. "When you have a mural that is representative of what you're trying to portray with your business, it also lends to employee satisfaction," says Maloney, who says a space that is colorful and vibrant is more desirable and more uplifting than blank walls.

Maloney says it also helps to get staff members involved in the planning and creation of the mural so that they have a sense of ownership in the artwork and what it portrays.

Choosing the Right Mural

Bar & restaurant owners may not know what type of artwork will best suit their establishment or where to begin on the design process, which is where Graffiti Park's design consultation process comes into play.

"We have a set list of questions that we ask, like, 'What are your goals for this artwork? What are you looking to portray,'" explains Maloney, who says they also ask about the venue's cuisine, beverages, experience, and events. "On top of that, we show them some examples of mood boards [and other designs] that we've done in the past. We then give them a little bit of homework, like, 'Hey, what are some things that stand out to you, that you think look really cool?"

Once Graffiti Park has an idea of what the client would like, they submit two design options, and from there, the client can make two to three revisions as they narrow in on the final design.

When it's time to begin the mural, Graffiti Park is big on quick turnaround times, knowing that bars and restaurants have very little, if any, downtime for such an installation. They will come in on days the venue is closed or afterhours to do the installation with as little disruption to the business as possible.
