Vodka is a huge moneymaker in the bar business. Therefore, there are plenty of reasons to rejoice today over National Vodka Day!
The word vodka is a diminutive of the word voda, which means water in Russian. Now, it would seem that the Russians are responsible for vodka but don’t mention that to the Polish or the Swedes! Regardless who is accountable for this beloved spirit, the mixability of vodka for new or seasoned bartenders is unmatched.
Since vodka is the most popular spirit in the U.S., there’s no reason not to shake up a few vodka based cocktail specials today for your thirsty patrons. Encourage your customers to stray away from the vodka sodas and try something new. Whether they prefer neutral or flavored, there is something for everyone so make sure your bartenders are inspiring.
One of our favorite fun vodka cocktails is The Mint Condition (listed below). What’s yours? Let us know by commenting below!
