Show Your Guests the Love: 10 Tantalizing Valentine's Day Cocktails

In just under 2 weeks we’ll be deeply entrenched in the relationship pressure cooker that is Valentine’s Day. Couples will be counting on you to deliver top-notch service, create a romantic atmosphere, and facilitate the romance.

As far as food is concerned, if you have a kitchen you can create a price fixe menu for couples: an appetizer, an entrée and dessert paired with a beer selection, cocktail or wine. If you don’t have a kitchen but have a good relationship with a restaurant or even food truck, consider teaming up for some shareable items and desserts. It’s Valentine’s Day so think about food items that couples can share. Anything small plate and chocolate will likely do very well.

Couples don’t have exclusive rights to Valentine’s Day, regardless of what they may think. There are plenty of singles out there who will be hitting the bars to mingle and meet new people. This is one of the best holidays to host a singles event. Create a cocktail menu featuring your signature drinks or classics renamed for the occasion. Just think about the standard Valentine’s Day tropes and go from there: Cupid, arrows, hearts, etc. Red, pink, and bubbly drinks garnished with strawberries and raspberries are definitely the way to go.

Of course, Valentine’s Day isn’t everyone’s favorite holiday. There are people who absolutely loathe this day. Well, if you’re creative enough you can draw them into your bar with an anti-Valentine’s Day party. We’re all familiar with Valentine’s Day themes and symbolism so just turn everything on its head: black hearts, broken hearts, broken arrows… Rename signature drinks to fit the theme and tie everything together.

Regardless of which direction you choose, remember to shout about your promotion via each and every one of your social media channels. If you get on the ball now, you can probably get your distributors and brand ambassadors in on the action.
