The Super Bowl: It’s one of the biggest days of the year in sports, and that can translate to big sales for your bar. This year, Super Bowl XLIV will be held Feb. 7, and the matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts is sure to be an exciting one. Hooters’ Hi-Def Giveaway, locations nationwide
Hooters of America announced that on Sunday, Feb. 7, during the Super Bowl, every Hooters restaurant in the country will give away a Sharp Electronics 40-inch LCD High Definition TV to one lucky customer. Hooters locations sell more than 1 million chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday, making it the largest sales day of the year for the concept. www.hooters.com.


Free Pizza at Farrelli’s, Tacoma, Wash.
Farrelli's Wood Fire Pizza will give away unlimited free slices of pizza to patrons who come into any of the five locations to watch the Super Bowl. Guests must purchase a beverage and be members of Farrelli’s Fire Club, a free e-mail loyalty club. The promotion runs an hour before the game to an hour after the game, and will take place in the bar side of the Farrelli’s establishments. “The difficulty is getting people to choose our restaurant over their friend’s house for a Super Bowl viewing party. So it will be exciting to see how much success we can have with this promotion; after all, who doesn't like free pizza?” said Clayton Krueger, director of marketing and communications. What’s on the Menu at The Boardrock, Tracy, Calif.
The Great Plate’s The Boardrock venue in Tracy, Calif., invites guests to enjoy the Super Bowl — and a wide variety of stadium food. For $25, patrons can watch the game on three 160-inch high-definition TVs while consuming an array of food options, from garlic fries and a nacho station to hot dogs, chili, stromboli and more. Win Big at Legends Sports Bar, Long Beach, Calif.
Legends Sports Bar will host its annual Super Bowl Party yet again for Super Bowl XLIV. The cover is $35 per person, which guarantees the customer a seat for the game and a raffle prize valued at $100 or more. Rams Head Super Bowl Party, locations in Maryland
For this year’s celebration, all Rams Head locations will offer food and drink specials to patrons looking for a spot to take in the game. For $6, guests can enjoy sliders (burger or chicken style, served with fries), nachos, onion rings, chicken tenders, crab dip and Cheese Louise; wings are just 50 cents. Tabasco’s Touchdown Recipes

1 ½ ounces gin
2 tsp. lime juice
1 ounce crème de cassis
6 ounces orange juice
1 Tabasco Pepper Sauce ice cube*
Lime peel

Tabasco Rumbleseat Cocktail

Combine the liquors and juices over ice. Use only one Original Tabasco Pepper Sauce spiced ice cube per drink as a tasty, spicy garnish along with a lime twist.

*Fill an ice cube tray, using one-half the regular amount of water for each cube, and then freeze. When frozen, pour a layer of Original Tabasco Pepper Sauce atop each cube and re-freeze. Finally, fill the trays completely and freeze a third time, producing ice cubes with a streak of Original Tabasco Pepper Sauce.


Sudden Death Bagel Snack Bowl

4 bagels
5 Tbsp. olive oil
3 Tbsp. Original Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic, granulated

Tabasco Bagel Snack Bowl

Cut bagel in half (not like a sandwich). Stand on edge and slice ¼-inch mini rounds. Place on pan and keep out overnight. Whip olive oil and Original Tabasco Pepper Sauce in a small bowl. Place mini bagel rounds in a large bowl, pour half of the oil mix over them and toss well. Pour remaining oil mixture over the bagels, add salt and garlic and toss well. Place the bagels on a sheet pan, separate well and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until dry and golden brown. Cool and serve.


Touchback Snap Mushroom Dip

2 Tbsp. butter
½ pound mushrooms, diced
6 loaves pita bread
2 Tbsp. olive oil
¾ tsp. salt
2 tsp. garlic, granulated
2 Tbsp. red pepper, minced
2 Tbsp. Original Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce
2/3 cup ricotta cheese, whole milk
3 Tbsp. parmesan cheese
8 ounces cream cheese

Heat butter in saucepan and sauté mushrooms until dry. When done, cool. Cut pita bread into wedges (eight per loaf). Place on pan and toast at 425°F for 15 to 20 minutes. Combine all ingredients (except pita bread) and mix well. Serve in serving bowl with toasted pita wedges.
