ST. LOUIS (Dec. 7, 2009) -- 901 Silver Tequila announced today that "Only one way your night should begin" by Malachi Rempen is the winner of The Big Idea Contest. Selected by the 901 team, "Only one way your night should begin" depicts the many things that go awry during a typical night out but makes it quite clear that all nights should commence with 901 Silver Tequila. Visit www.901.com to view the winning entry.
Announced on 9/01 at 9:01 via a video call-to-action, The Big Idea Contest invited consumers to submit entries to www.901.com. Submissions could be no longer than one minute in length and could take the form of photography or video. Entrants were challenged to exemplify the brand by submitting their concepts for the next break-through promotion, ad campaign, or marketing idea.
"'Only one way your night should begin' demonstrated Malachi Rempen's understanding of the 901 Silver brand and the concept resonated with our panel of judges," said Kevin Ruder, 901 Silver President. "Anyone launching a new brand understands how challenging it is to get a product to resonate with consumers and we've enjoyed creating a forum for dialog with our target audience as well as an opportunity for our loyal consumers to demonstrate their creative abilities."
901 Silver awarded aspiring filmmaker Malachi Rempen, an Albuquerque, NM native, the title of Executive Vice President of Big Ideas and the $25,000 signing bonus via telephone on December 3rd, 2009. Rempen will also receive a trip to Las Vegas to the Justin and Friends Concert in the fall of 2010.
