Pool season is finally showing signs of winding down. Though the Palms Pool will continue booking DJs through the month, Ditch Fridays ends September 12. On September 21, Daylight takes a bow with Krewella, and September 28 sees a slew of wet spots concluding the season, including Encore Beach Club with Zedd, Rehab, Liquid (featuring an all-day open bar) and Daydream. Ultra Music Festival Bans Minors
The organizers of Ultra Music Festival announced Tuesday (Sept. 2) that the massive Miami electronic dance music event is banning teens under 18, citing safety concerns. “This decision has been made to reinforce and promote the safety of all Ultra Music Festival fans and to ensure the overall enjoyment of all future attendees,” organizers said in a statement posted on the festival’s website. The Bungalow Doubles Southward to Huntington Beach
Brent Bolthouse had a winning formula when he debuted The Bungalow in Santa Monica two years ago, right next to the Fairmont and steps from the ocean. He's going to try and replicate the recipe again when he opens The Bungalow in Huntington Beach some time in 2015. Along with the typical charm The Bungalow has been known for, expect this outlet to incorporate some of that "surf city" vibe into this new locale right at Pacific City, a new development with retail and eateries right along the beach. Why? “New York is the capital of the world! Everything happens in New York,” explains Double Down owner P Moss. Gotham City glory was one reason, but there was also the urge to swim against the tide.

Legendary Don Hill's Set to Reopen as Hills NYC
Details are scarce at the moment, but all signs point to a new operator mounting plans to revive Don Hill's — where a panoply of rock luminaries once played intimate shows, the '80s theme night ruled, and Courtney Love covered Lady Gaga and cursed everyone out — at 511 Greenwich Street, its former home. The incoming proprietor will appear next week at a Community Board meeting to discuss operations at what's being called the Hills NYC at the one-story Soho building, which is owned by Tribeca's Ponte Equities. 3DM To Be World's First 3D Dance Music Festival
