Latest TV bar star: In an episode that aired in mid-April, William Grant & Sons’ Charlotte Voisey was spotted serving Stolichnaya Martinis to the contestants on the Bravo show “Top Chef Masters.”


Maybe this is a sign of the end of the recession – the return of the super- expensive Margarita. N9NE Steakhouse in Chicago marks Cinco de Mayo with its “Ultimate Margarita,” a $49 variation made with Herradura Seleccion Suprema Extra Anejo tequila, Grand Marnier 100th Anniversary, Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal, pomegranate juice and fresh lime.

Don’t forget the beer when crafting a summer drink list. Josh Durr created some beertails for BoomBozz Pizza & Taphouse in Louisville last month and hosted a sampling of four beertails one evening, including the Bozz Chelada (a twist on a classic Michelada), Nelson’s Grog (a variation of a classic rum grog with BBC stout and Appleton rum) and the Italian Pale Ale, featuring Aperol, orange juice and Belgian ale.
