Barton 1792 Distillery’s namesake brand, 1792 Ridgemont Reserve, was named Best of Category in the 2014 Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition, and the Distillery’s Zachariah Harris Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Kentucky Tavern Straight Bourbon Whiskey each took silver medals in the competition.
All entries submitted from the Distillery in this year’s competition took home an award.
“It’s an honor that all three of our entries in this year’s Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition have received such high regards,” Ken Pierce, director of distillation and quality assurance, said. “We are very proud of our placements amongst this year’s competition.”
The Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition was formed in 2007, with an esteemed panel of judges using a blind-tasting method to award medals to the best distilled spirits from around the world. The award-winning entries will be displayed during the Los Angeles County Fair, Aug. 29-Sept. 28, 2014 in “The Wine, Beer & Spirits Marketplace.”
