The Bitter Truth, Europe’s leading producer of cocktail bitters and flavorings, has announced the launch of its SloeBerry BlueGin. While the company has produced a limited-edition vintage sloe gin for the past three years, it was not widely available. A partnership with Austrian distiller Hans Reisetbauer has resulted in the ability to produce larger runs that are all natural and hand-made using fresh, ripe sloe berries – completely free of artificial ingredients or colorings. The sloe berries are macerated in Blue Gin created by Austria’s famous Eau de Vie distiller, Hans Reisetbauer, and provide a unique aroma that is enhanced upon tasting. Dry and a little bit sour with just slight sweetness, the intense sloe/plum aroma is followed by a hint of almond flavor, complimenting the fruitiness with spicy flavors.
The Bitter Truth – SloeBerry BlueGin is a favored ingredient in many cocktails and long drinks and can also be enjoyed by sipping on its own.
