Franklin County, KY—World renowned whiskey writer, Jim Murray, has released his picks for the world’s best whiskeys. Sazerac Rye 18 year-old was named the 2010 World Whiskey of the Year as well as Rye Whiskey of the Year. Also recognized was George T. Stagg, which took home the honor of Bourbon of the Year.
Sazerac Rye received at composite score of 97.5, only the second time this high score has been awarded. These honors along with others will be published in Jim Murray’s 2010 Whiskey Bible.
