Cabana CachaAa Announces Plans for Expansion

New York, New York (June 2009) Cabana Cachaça, the first authentically Brasilian super-premium cachaça to launch in the United States, is building on its Double Gold Win at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition by expanding into ten new U.S. markets: Pennsylvania, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Texas. Launched in 2006, Cabana has made large strides in its commitment to developing the cachaça category and ensuring that high-quality cachaça is available to those with discerning tastes everywhere. The premium spirit can already be found in 22 markets within the U.S., as well as the United Kingdom and its home country, Brasil. Appealing to the most sophisticated of drinkers, Cabana is furthering its already successful launch into the blends of trendy cocktails and free-and-easy spirits across the country.

Matti Anttila, founder of Cabana Cachaça believes firmly in Cabana’s commitment to cachaça, “Through our innovative production process developed by our master distiller, Cabana’s versatility and quality has been embraced by mixologists and sophisticated consumers in the most exclusive locations – places cachaça would never have worked before. We are excited to build on our success, firmly positioning Cabana as the super-premium standard and introducing consumers and bartenders alike to this globally significant, but relatively undiscovered category in the United States.”

In addition to their expansion, Cabana Cachaça has partnered with Bar Louie America and its signature concept Bar Louie, a casually cool neighborhood restaurant and bar, to be the exclusive cachaça featured on their signature cocktail menu. Cabana will be featured in two of their artfully concocted signature drinks in all Bar Louie locations. The cocktails, the Brazilian and the ‘Original Cocktail’ Caipirinha were designed to complement the upbeat environment provided by Bar Louie’s contemporary photography, mosaic tiling, wood-paneled walls and modern lighting. With 51 locations throughout the country, Bar Louie and Cabana Cachaça are working to ensure that cachaça becomes more accessible and familiar as the category continues to rise in popularity.
