This time next week, the 2010 Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show will be behind us. But before we start looking back on The Show, let’s look forward to it — and trust us, there’s plenty to look forward to. Here’s a quick night-by-night view of what’s happening this year. Sunday, March 7
NCB’s annual Club Pass Program also returns this year, kicking off at the brand-new Vanity Nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel. Sunday is a big night for Las Vegas locals as they get to unwind from a busy weekend of catering to travelers and have some fun themselves. At Vanity, there will be a packed house as NCB attendees and locals alike celebrate the return of The Show.
Monday, March 8
NCB teams up with the Light Group to host the Nightclub & Bar 25th Anniversary Party at the brand-new 25,000-square-foot Haze Nightclub at CityCenter. With a stellar venue, guest appearances and a 90-minute hosted bar, this Cocktails & Dreams Anniversary Party will raise the bar on our events for the next quarter-century. It’s a tremendous opportunity to celebrate a monumental milestone inside one of the nation’s newest and hottest nightclubs. You do not want to miss out!
Additionally, the House of Blues’ members-only Foundation Room will open its doors to NCB attendees for one of Vegas’ longest running and most successful industry parties, Godspeed.
Tuesday, March 9
We are teaming up with ABSOLUT Vodka to honor the Top 100 Nightclubs in America with a blowout bash at XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas. We know you’ve been thinking about this party and this club since last year, so don’t delay — buy your tickets today.
Also, Smokin’ Hot Aces at The Venetian will welcome our badge holders as part of the Club Pass program. With a stage, DJs and a riff-packed jukebox from TouchTunes, Smokin’ Hot Aces is all about the rock music and we are sure you will approve.
Plus, the annual GLBT Party, presented by Industry PM and Q Vegas, will be held at MGM Grand’s decadent Tabu Ultra Lounge. The city’s first ultra lounge is still counted among the city’s best and most beautifully designed. Teaming up with local industry leaders will bring together an alternative audience for a jam-packed party that might just be one of the best of the convention.
Wednesday, March 10
TAO Nightclub hosts the DJ Spin-Off, one of the convention’s most popular annual events. The spin-off returns with an all-new entertainment lineup showcasing DJ Kid Capri and Keys n Krates.
For one last evening of fun, the Club Pass program heads to LAVO Nightclub, located inside the Palazzo. The focus will be on fashion as Label Junky partners with some of Las Vegas’ top boutiques to continue its usual Wednesday night course, complete with models showcasing new fashions and trends.
And every night, the NCB Bar Hop Program helps you keep busy before the nighttime events begin. Starting at 8 p.m. each evening, there is a happy hour promotion at Bar Hop partner venues. Don’t forget your badge!
Yolos Mexican Restaurant at Planet Hollywood is teaming up with Tres Agave Tequila to offer attendees a buy-one, get-one Tres Agave Margarita and the opportunity to talk tequila with its fourth-generation distiller and former mayor of the town of Tequila, as well as Eric Rubin, founder of the popular Tres Agave restaurant in San Francisco and partner in Tres Agave tequila.
Shadow Bar at Caesars Palace has long been a favorite of our attendees, with a mix of world-class flair bartenders and the sensual silhouettes of dancers behind the bar. While there enjoy special buy-one, get-one cocktails from the small-batch produced and delicious Maker’s Mark bourbon whiskey.
Over at the Palazzo, attendees will want to stop and check out Lagasse's Stadium, which is teaming up with MillerCoors. All attendees will receive buy-one, get-one beers. Lagasse's Stadium also will be the host for the Sports Bar Networking Party, which takes place Wednesday at 8 p.m. and is hosted by Sports Nation, former Chicago Bear Willie Gault and former big league ballplayer Bill Madlock.
Also at the Palazzo, our attendees can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine at LAVO, where the creators of TAO have launched a brand-new concept inspired by a Mediterranean bathhouse that also serves tasty Italian food.
Lastly, Minus5 at Mandalay Bay will welcome attendees into its one of a kind environment, where 18 tons of ice create a sub-zero environment perfect for a chilled cocktail. Minus5 also will offer a buy-one, get-one for attendees to enjoy in preparation for the nighttime festivities.
