San Francisco, November 19, 2009 – Tequila CORRIDO, imported by True Blue Imports, LLC, launched in San Francisco at the 2009 Indy Spirits Expo. San Francisco’s spirit aficionados, mixologists and journalists had an opportunity to taste CORRIDO’s entire portfolio for the first time including CORRIDO Cristalino (blanco), CORRIDO Reposado, CORRIDO Añejo and CORRIDO Extra Añejo.

CORRIDO’s debut in San Francisco came just in time before the 76th anniversary of the Prohibition Repeal on December 5. CORRIDO is the perfect spirit of the Repeal celebration due to the fact that it was inspired by the Mexican folk music that often sang about the illegal tequila smugglers, which gained popularity during the U.S. Prohibition.
Before its debut in San Francisco, CORRIDO already received several awards including “Best of Show” and “Best of Category” at New York Spirits Awards, Gold Award at Spirits of Mexico, and Gold Medal at International Review of Spirits.
Veteran spirit journalist, Robert Plotkin described CORRIDO Cristalino “an excellent blanco to sip neat or slightly chilled.” Jack Robertiello, head judge of New York Spirits Award and spirit writer for various trade publications reviewed CORRIDO Extra Añejo as “full-bodied, round and well-balanced Extra Añejo.”
CORRIDO is produced from select blue agave grown in the volcanic soil of the highlands region of Jalisco. All agave used in CORRIDO are slow-cooked and double distilled at CORRIDO PRASA (Productos Regionales de Atotonilco SA de CV) distillery. all of the aged tequilas benefit from a highly refined, proprietary, “Single-Barrel” technique, including CORRIDO Reposado (aged 6 months), CORRIDO Añejo (aged 18 months) and CORRIDO Extra Añejo (aged 3 years).
