In the past several issues we have made some major announcements focusing on the amazing parties awaiting attendees of the upcoming Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas. The three premium parties are going to be monster hits, and we want everyone to come celebrate with us for Nightclub & Bar 25th Anniversary Party at CityCenter’s brand-new Haze Nightclub on Monday, March 8; the party honoring the Top 100 nightclubs in the country at XS Nightclub at Wynn Encore, the highest revenue-grossing nightclub in the U.S. and winner of Best New Club and Best Mega-Club in the 2010 Nightclub & Bar Awards, on Tuesday, March 9; and the return of the DJ Spin-Off at TAO Nightclub on Wednesday, March 10, with performances from DJ Kid Capri, live remix band Keys N Krates and some special surprise appearances. But we know there is a lot of time between when the show floor closes and the nighttime events kick off. Enter the NCB Bar Hop Program.
Starting at 8 p.m. each night of the convention, we have created a happy hour promotion that gives our attendees a place to relax from a productive day on the show floor, mix and mingle with other operators and attendees and enjoy some special offerings from Bar Hop partners. To be eligible for each offering, bring your show badge with you — and some friends to share cocktails!
Yolos Mexican Restaurant at Planet Hollywood is teaming up with Tres Agave Tequila to offer attendees a buy-one, get-one Tres Agave Margarita and the opportunity to talk tequila with its fourth-generation distiller and former mayor of the town of Tequila, as well as Eric Rubin, founder of the seriously popular Tres Agave restaurant in San Francisco and partner in Tres Agave tequila. We got a chance to sample some of the new juice and, trust us, you will not be disappointed. Tres Agave created a Margarita mix with only three ingredients and less than 60 calories and the agave nectar has everyone from bartenders to chefs experimenting.
Shadow Bar at Caesars Palace has long been a favorite of our attendees, with a mix of world-class flair bartenders and the sensual silhouettes of dancers behind the bar. While the concept has been replicated elsewhere, see where it all began in the middle of Caesars Palace all while enjoying special buy-one, get-one cocktails from the small-batch produced and deliciously tasty Maker’s Mark bourbon whiskey.
Over at the Palazzo, attendees will definitely want to stop and check out Lagasse Stadium, where superstar chef Emeril Lagasse has created the most revolutionary and luxurious sports-viewing venue in the city. With more than 100 high-definition televisions, plush luxury boxes, private rooms, stadium-style seating and an outdoor patio just steps from The Strip, the venue has to be seen to be believed. For the Bar Hop, the Lagasse is teaming up with MillerCoors, and all attendees will receive buy-one, get-one beers. Lagasse Stadium also will be the host for the Sports Bar Networking Party, which takes place Wednesday at 8 p.m. and is hosted by Sports Nation, former Chicago Bear Willie Gault and former big league ballplayer Bill Madlock.
Also at the Palazzo, our attendees can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine at LAVO, where the creators of TAO have launched a brand-new concept inspired by a Mediterranean bathhouse and serving tasty Italian food offerings. The large bar and lounge area is the perfect place to relax, sip on some vino and take in the views from the Strip-front patio all while waiting for the real parties to start!
Lastly, Minus5 at Mandalay Bay will welcome attendees into its one of a kind environment, where 18 tons of ice create a sub-zero environment perfect for a chilled cocktail. Minus5 also will offer a buy-one, get-one for attendees to enjoy in preparation for the nighttime festivities.
