Shmaltz Brewing Co. presents its annual celebration ale, Rejewvenator. The latest installment in Shmaltz’s fruit-infused lineup, Rejewvenator involves more than 400 gallons of date juice fermented into a half-doppelbock, half-Belgian-style hybrid lager/ale. The brewing process started with five specialty malts and five hop varieties, blending European tradition with American craft beer flavor. A new wine preservation system is on the market after more than two years of development and testing. Vinum Conservator model VC-R1 is an automatic countertop vacuum system. To use, replace a cork with the rubber stopper, then attach the vacuum to the stopper and hold for 1 to 2 seconds.
