Political Insiders to Discuss What New Environment Means for Beer Industry

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Attendees at the upcoming 19th Annual NBWA/BREWERS Joint Legislative Conference will hear from political professionals who have a strong pulse on the new environment in the nation’s capital.

On Monday, March 30, Washington veterans including Mike McCurry, former Clinton White House press secretary and current principal of Public Strategies Washington, Inc.; Bob Hickmott of the Smith Free Group; Mark Isakowitz of Fierce, Isakowitz & Blalock; and Will Stone of Denny Miller & Associates will participate in a panel discussion.

“A new administration and 137 new members of Congress elected within the last two election cycles, coupled with a troubled economy and many recent beer industry changes give us plenty to talk about at this year’s Legislative Conference,” said NBWA President Craig Purser. “This panel of experienced political insiders will give a fresh perspective and greater understanding to the ever-changing way of doing business in the nation’s capital.”

Additionally, leaders from the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA), Beer Institute (BI), Brewers Association (BA) and National Association of Beverage Importers (NABI) will comment on the current environment and the future of the beer industry.
