Portland Battle Seattle For Culinary Bragging Rights

Wild About GameIt’s time to get wild as tickets are on sale now for Nicky USA’s 14th Annual Wild About Game, on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 11:30am to 4:30pm at the Timberline Lodge, in Timberline, Oregon. This jam-packed weekend celebration centers an epic culinary competition between eight top chefs – four from Portland, four from Seattle – as they face off to produce the best dish featuring a Nicky Farms protein. Each dish will then be presented to a noteworthy panel of food experts as well as event attendees for judging. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased in advance at www.strangertickets.com (tickets will be $75 at the door).

Jason French of Ned Ludd, Portland VS Mike Easton of Il Corvo, Seattle

Nicky USA’s Wild About Game will be held in the Wy'east Annex at Timberline Lodge, and attendees are invited to sample each dish from the chef competition and vote for the winner as well as eat their way through the Artisan Marketplace. The Artisan Marketplace features products made by regional food professionals using Nicky Farms and other artisan purveyors’ meats. 

2014 judges for the cooking competition are: Jessica Colley (National Food Writer), Leslie Kelly (Zagat, Seattle Times), and Samantha Bakall (Food Writer, The Oregonian). The competition will be emceed by Katie Okumura of Tom Douglas Radio in Seattle.
