Republic National Distributing Company breaks ground on distribution facility in Columbia, South Carolina

Republic National Distributing Company announced today that it has broken ground on the construction of a new 206,000 square foot distribution facility in Columbia, South Carolina.  “This new state of the art distribution center will better serve our retail customers in the State of South Carolina for years to come. Republic is making a significant investment in the building and in a brand new material handling system at a total cost of nearly $12 million,” said Peter Fawcett, CEO of RNDC—South Carolina. 
 
The building is located in the Lexington County Industrial Park, just off of US 321.  It is expected to be completed by late summer, and RNDC will begin using the building in September. 
 
Tom Cole, President of RNDC—USA, stated, “This new building is necessary to support the growth and success that RNDC has experienced since creating its partnership with the Fawcett family in South Carolina a couple of years ago.  We are excited to have a new home for our employees and a first-class building to meet the needs of our suppliers and customers alike.”
