Señor Frog’s is synonymous with good food, good drinks and fun times.
Señor Frog’s Tequilas will be available in two styles; Señor Frog’s Plata® and Señor Frog’s Reposado®. Both offerings are 100% Blue Agave and have been blended to provide the perfect balance of smoothness and unique, exotic tequila character. Their distinctive taste profiles makes them perfect by themselves or as the quintessential base for margaritas and today’s expanding list of popular tequila cocktails.
Pedro Quintanilla, Managing Partner of Batrachian Spirits, parent company of the brand, said Señor Frog’s will be an attractive proposition for the trade. “The Tequila category has grown by 3.5MM cases over the last 5 years and most of that growth is coming from the Super and Ultra premium categories where Señor Frog’s will participate. “Consumers know the Señor Frog’s brand, as over 3 MM Americans visit a Señor Frog’s restaurant each year ,and over 70 million have been exposed to the name over the past 10 years. The combination of growth opportunity and brand name recognition made the decision to enter the tequila category a simple one.”
Señor Frog’s Tequilas was initially test marketed working with of Beacon Beverages, a Spirits Sales organization and Brand Action Team, a Spirits Marketing organization. Señor Frog’s was introduced in Indiana and Illinois in late 2008. Dave Stringfellow, President of Beacon Beverages said “We got a fabulous response to the product from both the trade and consumer side. The product literally hopped off the shelf and back bars and the reorders started coming in. We started to expand in January of this year and by April will be sold in the following additional states; GA, HI, KY, OH, SC, TN, & TX..” Señor Frog’s Tequila will be available only in 750mls. The suggested retail price for Señor Frog’s Plata is $25.99 while the Reposado is $29.99.
The launch will be supported with trade communications, a range of POS materials that portray the same fun and exciting atmosphere that the restaurants provide , off-and on-premise sampling (where legal) and targeted programming to reach younger (LDA – 39 Year Old) consumers who enjoy socializing and having fun.

New Señor Frog’s Cocktail Recipes:
Sha-La-La-La
(named after the famous waterslide that throws people from the bar into the lagoon at the Cancun Señor Frog’s restaurant),:
• 1 1/2 oz Señor Frog's Plata Tequila
• 1 1/4 oz peach liqueur
• splash of blue Curacao
• splash of lemon juice
• tonic water to fill
Fill high ball glass with ice, add Señor Frog's Plata, peach liqueur, blue Curacao and lemon juice, stir and the top with tonic water. Add a lime for garnish.
CHICORITA (named after a spooky local legend.)
• 2 oz Señor Frog’s Reposado Tequila
• ½ oz fresh orange juice
• ¼ oz strawberry liqueur
• 4 Drops of Tabasco Sauce
Mix the ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, shake and pour into a shot glass.
