2006 Valley of the Moon Cuvée de la Luna
Cuvée de la Luna, Valley of the Moon Winery’s Cabernet Sauvignon-based, Bordeaux-inspired wine, is a “best of the vintage” red without the constraints of varietal labeling (which requires at least 75 percent of the named grape variety). The 2006 Cuvée de la Luna uses an unusually large percentage of Merlot in the Cabernet blend, as well as small amounts of Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. About 3,500 cases of the blend were produced.

2006 Lake Sonoma Winery Cabernet Sauvignon
Nearly 5,000 cases of the 2006 Lake Sonoma Winery Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon are now available. The wine has forward aromas of cassis, licorice, mint and cedar that evolve in the glass as the wine aerates. Cassis and raspberry dominate the medium-bodied flavors, accented by hints of cedar and black olive before a long finish. The Cabernet Sauvignon should continue to develop with short-term cellaring.

2008 Kenwood Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris
Kenwood Vineyards’ 2008 Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris are now available. The Sauvignon Blanc features aromas of lemon, lime, guava and new-mown hay and leads to a long, crisp finish. The Pinot Gris has cantaloupe, tropical fruit, honeysuckle and hazelnut aromas and flavors. Only 1,550 cases of the Pinot Gris were produced; the Sauvignon Blanc yielded 78,000 cases.
