Les Vins Georges Duboeuf 2008 Beaujolais Crus
Georges Duboeuf and Franck Duboeuf presented a pre-release of their 2008 Beaujolais Crus, which is expected to hit the market in September. Each of the 10 Crus is named after the area where the grapes are grown: Brouilly, Chénas, Chiroubles, Côte-de-Brouilly, Fleurie, Juliénas, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Régnié and Saint-Amour. The wines, made from 100 percent Gamay grapes, are full, dense, aromatic and complex.

Valley of the Moon Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon
Valley of the Moon has released 5,300 cases of its 2006 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon and 3,000 cases of its 2007 Carneros Pinot Noir. The Cabernet has blackberry, red currant, anise and semi-sweet chocolate aromas, and its integrated tannins promise additional development with cellaring. The Pinot Noir showcases blueberry, black cherry, cola and clove aromas and flavors. Weight and structure on the palate lead to a delicate, lingering finish.
