The Vine (September 2009)

Patch Block Varietal Line

Les Vins Georges Duboeuf has redefined its varietal line under a new name, Patch Block. Its five varietals, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, will be available in September. The name “Patch Block” refers to a patch of land within a vineyard, known as a block, where the grapes have distinct characteristics and quality. The grapes are from vineyard blocks in the Languedoc region of France.
