The World Association of the Alcohol Beverage Industries (WAABI) appointed Duncan Cameron as its executive director. Cameron has been involved with WAABI since the 1970s and became the first male to serve on the WAABI Board of Directors in 1990. Since then, he has been the national newsletter editor and has served several terms as president of the Metro DC Chapter of WAABI. He also received the Spirit of WAABI Award for 2009. Cameron also is treasurer and administrator of the Sky Ranch Foundation, a position he has held since 1988.
“We’re thrilled to have Duncan step in as executive director at this time,” said WAABI president Paul Houston, plant manager of the Beam Global Spirits & Wine Cincinnati facility. “He’s well equipped to help WAABI implement new initiatives aimed at sharpening our focus and building our value to the alcohol beverage industry, to industry employees and to communities nationwide.”
