It is with a heavy heart that we send our thoughts and prayers to the victims who were tragically murdered and wounded last night at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, CA. Our hearts go out to their family and friends, and to those who had survived the Route 91 shooting only to find themselves in this horrifying situation.
What was supposed to be an evening of fun, relaxation and socializing ended in senseless violence, including the death of a brave law enforcement officer who put his life on the line in the service of others. Many patrons of Borderline also bravely helped others, risking their lives to get others out of harm's way.
This is not the time or place to point fingers or suggest solutions, this is a time to set aside differences and come together to mourn the victims. Be safe. Be attentive. Say something if you see or hear something. Be good to each other.
