CHICAGO, IL - High Noon Saloon hosts Chicago’s Revolution Brewing on Thursday, February 25, for a special beer night highlighting limited-release Revolution brews. The tap takeover features a meet-and-greet with Revolution’s Brit Hayford, and a raffle with top prizes such as a Revolution Brewing neon sign and a $100 Revolution gift card.
The beer lineup lists limited-release beers seldom seen outside of the Brewpub/Tap Room such as Rise American Stout, TV Party Rye IPA and Winter Woman Imperial IPA. Very Mad Cow Barrel-Aged Milk Stout from the brewery’s Deep Wood Series, Jukebox Hero from Revolution's Hero Series, and year-round favorite Anti-Hero IPA round out the list.
Chef Antonio Gonzalez prepares beer-enhanced food specials such as Vegetarian Flautas, crispy rolled tortillas stuffed with Jukebox Hero-spiked black beans and sweet corn and served with avocado tomatillo salsa, lettuce and sour cream. BEER INFORMATION/TASTING NOTES
Very Mad Cow, Barrel-Aged Milk Stout, Limited Release/Deep Wood Series, 9.7% ABV
This limited brew, which is available annually in February and March, is the brewery’s Mad Cow Milk Stout aged in Old Forester and Jack Daniel’s barrels. Dark, sweet and woody with the sweet milk stout base balancing the pronounced barrel notes.
Winter Woman, Imperial Brown Ale, Limited Release, 10% ABV
A full-bodied version of the brewery’s Working Woman Brown Ale; the same malt and hops are used but in greater quantities for a more bitter, stronger ale. Aromas and flavors of fresh citrusy hops with notes of caramel and chocolate.
Rise, American Stout, Limited Release, 7.1% ABV
Medium-bodied stout brewed with Pale Malt, Chilean Caramel Malt, English Roasted Barley and Dark Chocolate Malt, and Warrior, Chinook and Cascade hops. Crisp clean bitterness with aromas of citrus zest and pine. Rich and complex flavors with notes of baker’s chocolate and dark roasted coffee.
TV Party, Rye IPA, Limited Release/Early February Release, 7.6% ABV
Crisp and refreshing rye India Pale Ale brewed with 2-Row, Flaked Rye and CaraRed malt, and Nelson Sauvin, Chinook and Amarillo hops. Citrus aromas with a silky mouthfeel and subtle toasty and nutty notes.
Jukebox Hero, Black IPA, Limited Release/Hero Series, 7.5% ABV
One of the brewery’s Hero Series brews, a limited-release series of specialty India Pale Ales. This double dry-hopped black India Pale Ale, which is available November through February, features layers of American hops and a rich roasted malt background. Aromas and flavors of fresh flowers, citrus fruit, pine and mint, with crisp, clean bitterness and a pronounced hop character.
Anti-Hero, IPA, Year-Round, 6.5% ABV
This celebrated India Pale Ale is brewed with a blend of four hop varieties which impart a crisp bitterness and big floral and citrus aromas.
